Wax Figures

It had been years since I visited a wax museum. My favorite was the Movieland Wax Museum in Buena Park, CA. They had class and paid meticulous attention to detail. Wax figures genuinely resembled their namesakes.

As I observed the Beverly Hillbillies at the Hollywood Wax Museum, a sadness enveloped me because the MWM is yet another So. Cal. attraction to bite the dust. It's eerie enough viewing lifeless, motionless figures that I expect to speak to me any minute, without reminiscing about MWM and the great outings I experienced.
