Our day begins with funeral services for our friend Roadrunner, whose mother died on Christmas Eve. Mrs. C had been ill for sometime, but regardless, death is never something that can be prepared for especially during the holidays. It's pouring outside - just coming down in buckets - and I'm praying that it subsides by the time we arrive at the cemetary. The holidays have always been very sad and depressing for Roadrunner, the passing of her mother will only add to a challenging season. Time to go. We've got a good drive ahead of us in lousy weather.

In anticipation of the celebration and merriment planned for tonight. I hope everyone has a festive and safe New Year's Eve celebration!
