Griffith Park Fire (Hollywood Hills)

I spent an entertaining and fun afternoon at Boo's job site today celebrating and picnicking. It was a scorching 97 degrees but with the abundant umbrellas, water and consistent breeze, everything turned out fantastic!

Unfortunately the drive home was marred by a fast spreading fire in Griffith Park. I could see the flames shooting up the hillsides and felt a pang in my gut as I wondered if this was arson related. The news has confirmed that it is and a burn victim is in custody, suspected of being the arsonist.

We have terrible conditions (abundant dry brush, steep hills, 95 plus degrees, rugged terrain) for the firefighters on duty and my heart and thanks go out to them.
